Izzy completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she was awarded the Bridgewood & Neitzert Bach Prize for Strings 2019.
During her time at RWCMD, Izzy was appointed Principal Cellist of the Royal Welsh Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. As a member of the Royal Welsh String Soloists, she performed alongside Nicola Benedetti, Pieter Wispelwey and Leonard Elschenbroich. Izzy was additionally selected for the RWCMD Hire a Performer Scheme. In 2020, Izzy successfully auditioned for the International Student Programme of international cello festival, Cellisimo. Other experience includes touring the UK with ELO Again, composing and recording for various artists, giving recitals, playing at weddings and teaching.
Izzy has performed extensively at prestigious venues including London's Southbank Centre, St Davids Hall, the Dora Stoutzker Hall, Dartington Hall, Wales Millennium Centre, Motorpoint Arena and Mirabell Palace.
Izzy has played in masterclasses taken by Raphael Wallfisch, Pieter Wispelwey, Paul Watkins, Daniel Muller-Schott, Narek Hakhnazaryan, Adrian Brendel and Alice Neary, amongst others. She worked closely with Paul Patterson to perform the Welsh Premiere of his composition, Spider’s Web, for harp and string quartet.
Izzy enjoys solo, chamber and orchestral playing, and is regularly involved in video and audio recording sessions; in studio and remotely.
